CALL YOUR LAWMAKERS: NO CUTS TO MEDICAID AND SNAP!

In the early hours of July 1, the U.S Senate narrowly passed President Trump’s One Big, Beautiful Bill Act. This legislation will cut funding to Medicaid and other vital programs that kids and families rely on—all to fund special interests and $4.5 trillion in tax breaks that overwhelmingly benefit the ultra-wealthy. 

The impact of this bill would be huge for Washington. 1 in 5 Washingtonians (nearly 2 million total) rely on Medicaid through Apple Health. This includes nearly 850,000 children. The highest rates of Medicaid usage for kids in Washington in 2021 were in districts 4 and 5, both represented by Republicans. 

Republican leaders in the House of Representatives indicate that they will move the bill for a vote quickly, so we need to act now! Email and call your lawmakers and tell them to not pass any legislation that will harm WA kids and families.
